Arabian Horse | Scottsdale Offers Late Winter, Early Spring Festivals, Parades

Posted By: JR

Scottsdale begins to hum with a hive of activity during late winter and early spring with golf, festivals, parades, baseball and Native American performances.

The last week of January signals the start of the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Mild temperatures and entertainment at the Coors Light Birds Nest make it a yearly trek to Scottsdale for people only casually acquainted with golf.

In February, the Parada del Sol annual parade and the Hashknife Pony Express pay homage to Scottsdale’s Western roots and mail delivery by horse. In mid-February, the city’s love affair with Arabian horse is highlighted during the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show at WestWorld.

In March, the Scottsdale Arts Festival stretches out on the expansive lawn outside the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and spring training commences, providing just one more reason to relax on a carpet of green during one of the best time to call the Valley home.
